The Quilt Coop located in Clarinda, Iowa

We are a full service quilt shop located in the country in a remodeled milking barn. Our doors opened in August 2004 with 500 bolts of fabric. Within one year we had outgrown the milking parlor, so we added on, and as of 2010, we are up to over 4000 bolts of fabrics!

We specialize in the more traditional style of quilting fabrics, patterns and samples, and boast a huge selection of reproduction civil war and 30's fabrics, as well as many other traditional fabric selections.

Country and antiques decorate The Quilt Coop fabric shop

Our decor is very country and a lot of antiques decorate the top of our shelf units. Barn boards line the walls and lots of quilt samples are on display for all to see.

We have a lot of kits for our samples, so if you don’t have time to pick out your next project, you can choose from the many kits already available, or if you want us to help pick out fabric for that special pattern of your choice, we will be more than happy to help you.

Stitchery supplies and patterns for all of your sewing needs For your stitchery needs, we have a full selection of DMC floss and many iron-on transfer patterns, stitchery patterns, books and samples to get you inspired for that next project. And we will be adding cross stitch supplies in the near future.

We have hundreds of quilt patterns and over 350 different book titles to choose from. If we do not have a book or pattern you are looking for, we will be more than happy to order it for you. Just ask.

Lots of quilting stencils and hand quilting supplies are also in stock, as well as all the latest notions! We carry a full line of Quilters Dream Batting and Mettler, Sulky and Star Threads too!
